Blake Wheeler Goal Video

I’ve been meaning to write about this goal for a while now and a reader just reminded me that this goal deserves to be highlighted more than the Kyle Okposo goal that I posted earlier. I can’t dispute that because Blake Wheeler absolutely blew my mind with this goal!

One thing that I have to point out is that Blake Wheeler is just an awesome hockey name right off the bat!  I can just imagine being the Gopher’s announcer and being able to say “Blake Wheeler” night after night…just a great hockey name.

Wheeler was chosen in the NHL Draft by Phoenix in his freshman year.  Some thought that it was an odd pick for the Coyotes at the time.  However, Wheeler has since moved from Wing to Center and it has really sparked his game.  As one reader said in his email “Lord knows Phoenix could use this kid”! At 6’5″ and 240lbs, we just might see Blake Wheeler in a Coyotes uniform next year.

Blake is a load….he has really grown into a damn solid Center….Phoenix needs this kid up…he hits…he scores…and he has a very good work ethic….certainly could take Roenick’s place on the roster next year.
