I agree Gustafsson, I give Ted credit for trying something different. I have also heard nothing but positive things about the Capitals bloggers with credentials.

I, for one, applaud Ted and the Capitals for their forward thinking. Not to mention that www.onfrozenblog.com is a great credit to the online hockey community in itself.

However, I do believe that there is a distinct difference between the "average blogger" and those who have earned media credentials.

Thanks for your thoughts Gustafsson, please stay in touch.

Ted Leonsis and the entire Washington Capitals office have been great the to bloggers here in DC. We are linked to from the Capitals official site. We've sat in the press box with the "regular" media folk, not some cast off section with signs that read "don't feed the bloggers".

I'm not trying to speak for the team or the media, but I don't believe there has been even one problem with bloggers and media access. In fact, it's probably been quite the opposite.
