Brad Staubitz Fights Jordin Tootoo

For those of you who want to see fighting banned from the NHL, tell me that this fight between Jordin Tootoo and Brad Staubitz isn’t entertaining. If you say it’s not there are 17,000 screaming Sharks fans that can be heard in the background of the video that strongly disagree!
Staubitz and Tootoo went toe-to-toe in this fight, with Staubitz getting the decision after landing several left hands on Tootoo. Tootoo headed straight to the dressing room for repairs as Staubitz opened him up for stitches.
I’d also like to mention to Kelly Hrudey that even though Tootoo got the worst of the deal in this fight, he did stick up for himself and did not shy away from the challenge of Staubitz.
For those who are not familiar with Hrudey’s dislike for Jordin Tootoo, please refer to this article. [Kelly Hrudey's High Horse]

I saw the fight and was happy Staubitz went after Tootoo. I am not a fan of Jordan Tootoo so I was all for it.

Fighting belongs in hockey. Period. No one can tell me that fights like this aren’t entertaining, to say the least. And no, while I never want anyone to be seriously injured…these boys know exactly what they’re getting into when they throw down the gloves…and what a show they put on
But on top of that – I’d be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t believe that fighting completely changes the tone of a game. It’s a momentum shifter…usually for the team whose fighter doesn’t get thrown to the ice in a sniveling puddle of mush
But fights sometimes do weird things to momentum, too – just look at Game 6 in the Flyers/Pens series this year. The Flyers are riding high on a 3-0 lead on home ice in a must-win situation to force game 7…Dan Carcillo tears apart Max Talbot, and the PENS use that to come back to score FIVE unanswered goals. I couldn’t make that up if I tried!
So go ahead and tell me that fighting doesn’t belong in hockey. And I’ll tell you to go watch synchronized swimming.

Kelly Hrudey said Jordin would not last 5 yrs in the nhl.Pro hockey is unpredictable. You could get hurt and not play another game in an instant.I dislike Lucic and still admire him for making it to the bigtime.I think hrudey should not get too critical with hockey players…How long will he last if continues to cry… when his favourite player gets manhandled.
