Composite Stick Fraud!

Fake One Piece Hockey Sticks|Hockey EquipmentThis is a note going out to all hockey players…check your composite sticks!

There have been reports circling around the internet message boards about some companies/retailers passing off previous years models or lower end models as more popular and expensive sticks.

Some players have found that their “high end” composite sticks are actually lower end models that have been painted over to look like a newer, more expensive, or “pro Stock” model.

It is also suggested that you check the stick against other sticks of the same model and different models to identify inconsistencies in the composite patterns as well as the paint design and colors used.

I don’t mean to scare anyone off, but youngsters are especially vulnerable to the latest brand and model fads. Just take a close look and make sure that you get what you pay for.

If you want something really fancy, check out the new Reebok RBK 9K0 that Pavel Datsyuk uses! It should be in stores sometime in March 2007.

If you’re looking for a stick, check out Hockey Giant.com , they usually have them before most other places and the prices are awesome!

Its sad that the manufacturers are really this desperate. Shame on them. Love that stick with the holes, would be interesting to see what numbers it could put up in the fastest slapshot competition.

Pros Stock sticks are commiting no fraud.(i dont work for any company and im not advertising) they are ussually repaints of another stick the player likes. if i like the original Synergy, but im sponsered by Warrior, I’ll have my sticks painted up to look like a warrior, when really, underneath, it’ll just be my good old original synergy.

pro stock stick are actually cheaper, so there is no fraud there. pro stock sticks are just those sticks that the pros can completely customize. one stick that is commiting fraud is the synergy SE. its baisically a synergy SL completely repainted with no difference to performance.

A Synergy SE is not a re-painted SL; just an updated new model; like the SL wasn’t a re-painted Si-Core

    Composite fraud is…
Currently there are Synergy SE’s painted with 08 Stealth S17 graphics. You can tell because the stick doesn’t have the lower elliptical portion of the shaft and doesn’t have the upper shaft profile of the previous Stealth CNT. To those who bought one… sorry for you!
as for the Rbk 9K O-stick… i’ve heard (no actual experience) that it’s a little dead feeling.
