The big news of the day is that the Edmonton Oilers have rejected a bid for their sale to Alberta billionaire Daryl Katz.

Ownership chairman Cal Nichols said he hopes that this final answer from the owners will be enough to convince Katz and others that “there isn’t a price tag on the team”.

I think they just didn’t like the fact that Katz looks too much like Rob Schneider!
