Ducks Advance With OT Win

The Anaheim Ducks thoroughly outplayed the Vancouver Canucks and deserved to win Game 5 and advance to the next round of the playoffs.  If it were not for Roberto Luongo and his marvelous play, the Canucks would have been nowhere near the Ducks on this night.

The overtime goal, though some felt it was soft, was the only time that Luongo seemed to let down his guard…even for a second.  The Ducks’ Scott Niedermayer capitalized on that rare one-second opportunity. Surprisingly, Luongo has shouldered the blame even after his marvelous play throughout the playoffs.
