Ducks Waste Little Time

Snoop Dogg George Parros Mustache and Anaheim Ducks FanBrian Burke and the Anaheim Ducks wasted little time relishing their Stanley Cup victory. They are back at work in thier quest to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions by re-signing George Parros and Travis Moen, who was absolutely terrific in the playoffs, to 2-year deals.

Moen, who managed just 21 points in 82 regular season games came through in the clutch for the Ducks. While playing in each of the Ducks’ 21 playoff games, Moen racked up 7 Goals and 5 Assists with three of those goals being scored against the Ottawa Senators in the Stanley Cup final.

Meanwhile the 27 year-old Princeton Educated Parros, who is known for his toughness, played in just 5 post-season games and had just one point in 34 regular season games. Parros did, however, lead the team in penalty minutes with 102.

Leading the team in penalty minutes while playing less than half of the games is an accomplishment in itself. However, Parros became a fan favorite by growing a mustache some say resembles that of certain 1970′s “movies” and has even converted Snoop Dogg into a hockey fan!

What do you think of the Habs signing Higgins and Komi to 2 year deals. Pretty clutch move by BG again, ensures there is a lot of money to spend in the offseason.
