Easton Stealth S17 Helmet

The Stealth S17 is the premiere line of helmet and similar to the Easton S17 Stick , it features a host of industry leading innovations and technological advancements.
FEATURES
The S17 features include the MonoLock™ Sizing System, which is a tool-less sizing feature that keeps the bulk off the sides of the helmet and utilizes a “player-friendly” lever on the back.
The InForm™ Fit System, created by Easton’s action sports sister company GIRO, is the best-fitting, easiest to operate micro-adjustment fit-band in hockey. It surrounds the head comfortably and securely.
The S17 also features adjustable ear pieces which add to the customizability of the helmet.
Independent temple foams have a lower density for increased comfort and built in screws to make it easy to access hardware.
Here is what, Easton Vice President, Ned Goldsmith had to say about the new S17 helmet:
“The helmet category is one of the only areas Easton didn’t participate in and the new helmets truly round out our entire product line. We didn’t want to come to market with just any helmet. We wanted a superior design, style, comfort, durability and of course protection. We wouldn’t settle for anything less,” Goldsmith said.
“The new Helmets are going to make an immediate impact. Our long list of NHLers and our dedicated R&D team contributed to the extensive research that was done in the creation of these helmets. The result is stellar and players will notice right away. The new technologies and design will make for the best comfort, fit, protection, and style on the market.”
AVAILABILITY
The Easton Stealth S17 Helmet will be available for sale at your local hockey shop in May 2008. However, some online stores have a history of placing pre-orders for equipment that has not reached the market.
If you are in the market for a new helmet and can’t wait until the S17 arrives, you may want to check out the new Mission Intake Fusion Helmet or the Cascade CHX which claims to have the best concussion protection on the market.
It’s always a good idea to check Hockey Giant.com for the best prices on helmets and equipment pre-orders.

It should be available on store shelves in May of 2008, but I some online stores may be taking pre-orders very soon.
I am not sure what other products that Easton will be naming S17 other than the stick and helmet at this point. Stay tuned to NHL Digest for the latest in pro quality hockey equipment.

Regardiing sticks…my son has a syergy elite…grip model…6hrs on it and heel started to breakdown and wafer-unravel…I had purchased it back in May so his 6mth warranty window was up-I found out from some friends who bought the stick from the same deal-Pro Connection here in Winnipeg-that they had the same problem-must have been a bad batch or something-yet the owner insisted this was not the case…I think what happened with some of Synergy Intermediate sticks purchased from that outlet…all breaking down similarily-speaks for itself… bad thing about Easton is you have to ship the stick into them…you can’t bring it back to the dealer-I won’t buy him another Synergy Elite just on that basis alone…he was using his Stealth CNT and used the Synergy as the spare….the Stealth is today-1.5yrs later after 2 summer travel hockey sessions-one A1 and half way into Minor Peewee AA-still going strong..the only thing is …that it now requires a 6in plug which changes the performance of the stick somewhat.
I would like to put him into a Warrior-eithe the Dolomite or BigMacDaddy-but with kids the graphics rule as well-and the Warrior sticks need some work in that regard IMO…altho the Warrior Royal at $90 even tho rather plain on the colors…feels pretty decent for the money..the balance of the stick and blade feel when I was testing it..wasn’t far different from the Intermediate Stealth at $200 more a pop.
Lots of times its the magican not the wand …but sometimes the stick does make for better noticeable preformance to.

andrew on Wed, 25th Jun 2008 1:48 pm
i have the S17 stick and gloves and im getting the helmet befor tryouts in august(when i was told it was coming out) and all i have to say is that easton is the best company for everything but skates their skates are great comfortable, good looking, light but they break and wear so easy.
