NHL Hockey SchoolFor the first time ever, the Edmonton Oilers will launch a new hockey school this summer, in conjunction with Okanagan Hockey Schools, one of the most highly respected, and longest running hockey schools in the world.

Two one-week sessions will run from August 5-11th, and again from August 12-18th, at the Servus Credit Union Place in St. Albert. Each session is open to young hockey players, both male and female, between the ages of 8-16, and will feature comprehensive on-ice sessions, the newest off-ice training techniques, core strength exercises, and seminars ranging from motivation to nutrition. Plus there will be special guest appearances from Edmonton Oilers coaches and players.

“Oil Country is the largest producer of NHL talent in the world,” said Patrick LaForge, President & CEO of the Edmonton Oilers. “By introducing Edmonton Oilers Hockey School, we hope to contribute to that proud tradition, by teaching young players some of the special skills and attitudes necessary to continue their hockey dreams.”

It was mentioned that space will be limited for the first edition of the Edmonton Oilers Hockey School, and is available on a first come, first served basis. For more information, or to register online, log onto www.edmontonoilers.com.Via Email from the Edmonton Oilers
