Joe Sakic Scores Goal 600

We all knew that Sakic’s 600th was coming this season, but leave it to Burnaby Joe to get his 600th goal in classic style, as only he can.
Sakic scored goal number 600 into an open net versus the Calgary Flames. It was the game clinching goal in a must win game for the Avalanche in order to keep their playoff hopes alive.
In addition, Sakic’s 600th goal also happened to be his fifth point of the night! Mr. Sakic has always been a clutch player. Could there have been a more appropriate scene to be set for Joe to score number 600? I highly doubt it.
Congratulations to Joe Sakic, the pride and joy of Burnaby, British Columbia!

I’d like to see Mario and Yzerman suit up and just notch a few more goals to pass that fool Messier. Though, perhaps I’m just bitter…no, that’s not it. He’s a fool.
