Mike Ribeiro’s spectacular backward spin, between-the-legs, move was working in recent practices, but nobody thought he would ever attempt it in a game…until last night versus the Colorado Avalanche!
The ridiculously insane maneuver worked!
Ribeiro resorted to his bag of tricks in the final shootout attempt, skating in backward and slipping the puck between his legs for a shot past Peter Budaj, giving the Dallas Stars a 3-2 win over the Avalanche.
There is no way he would’ve tried the move in a game that had playoff meaning, it would have been much too risky. However, since there wer not playoff implications for the Stars, the fans got a heckuva treat on Thursday night!

As much as I would hate it if I were the goalie – I think it’s brilliant. Well done Mike!

He is far from a punk and has mad skillz when he wants to. If you hate him you are a Canadiens fan or someone he has embarrassed before. He is not dirty or anything to hate on. Enjoy his skill as the class act in Dallas.
