New Edmonton Oilers Reebok Jersey

The Edmonton Oilers will give thousands of fans their first glimpse of their new RBK Edge game jersey when the team skates out onto the ice of Rexall Place for the Joey Moss Cup on Sunday, September 16th at 1:00 PM.

However, according to NHL 2008, the New Oilers RBK Jerseys look like this:

The new jersey will hit select store shelves in Oil Country at the same 1:00 PM time that day. Oilers fans will be able to purchase the new jersey at The Oilers Store in Rexall Place and Kingsway Garden Mall, and at all Game On Sports locations.

    With the team the Oilers were able to muster this season and their weak performance since the early 90’s, this jersey is a perfect fit. Screams of incompetence.

    I’m not sure that I like the vertical orange stripe on the Home jersey! What was Edmonton thinking? This whole Reebok Edge Uniform thing is getting on my nerves…I like the traditional horizontal stripes at the bottom of the old jerseys.

    Much classier than the awful mismatch of colours that the Flames have on their shoulders. AND a huge improvement on the gawdy Canuck uniforms!

    i dunno, i’d have to agree with “Jeff” there. A lot better than Calgary and Vancouver’s jerseys. However, as long as the team plays better with them, I could care how crappy they look. Wow, I feel like a Minnesota fan.

    those are awful… is the nhl purposely offending fans that actually support their teams? i mean this isn’t nashville, no one cares about their jersey. edmonton fans deserve better.

    OMG!!! Can we was disgusting?!?!? What the eff were they thinking??? I can’t believe they decided that this looked good?? who was designing this… mick mcgoo??? like honestly!!! Im sticking with my original dark blue jersey… not the one before this with the gears and whatnot and CERTAINLY not this one!!! Argh… im gonna get razed for this one… since i live in calgary (for school!!) and wear my copper and blue proudly!!

    New Oilers Jersy Euro look is BUTT UGLY – Looks like someone who hates the Oilers designed this one. I have many Oiler Jerseys in my collection- This one will not be added. The Ice capades Oiler Jersey is a marketing disaster. My money will stay in my pocket on this one. Oilers Brass asleep at the switch on this one. Best new looks belong to Ottawa and Colorado.

    By the looks of it, I think Mick would have done a better job! I don’t blame you for not wanting the new Oilers RBK jersey. I’d stick with the old dark blue one as well; it was a classic style.

    Everyone is allowed opinions, which is great…however, after attending both of the Oil pre-season games so far…I have to admit I am starting to really like them. The Oilers have RARELY messed with their logo (which is ALL the tradition this team needs) and have come up with a jersey that looks sleek. I would have to say that I saw quite a few people proudly displaying their new unis for both games. I would too (if the price would go down just a little bit!!!!) Keeping tradition is good…however, sometimes you have to destroy the past to build a better future…especially after the AWFUL end to last season. In fact, the Maple Leafs should have thought of that concept of starting NEW right around 1968!!!!!!! (Sorry, had to put a little ‘jab’ in there somehow!)

    I have to agree that things tend to grow on us all after a while.
    Other than the Orange piping that runs vertical down the body, I like the new oilers jersey.
    I have a sneaking suspicion that this whole jersey schmozzel will all be forgotten very quickly.
    The NHL has bigger fish to fry…like evening out the travel schedules in order to give the western teams the same advantages as the east.
