I have opted to stay away from blogging about NHL Trade Rumors, mostly because I can’t keep up! A few other bloggers have thrown in the towel on trying to anticipate deals as well.
On the other hand, some bloggers have great connections that seem to keep them abreast of what is going on behind the scenes.

I think the wings are gonna go after Bill Guerin because he will really help for a right hand shot on their second powerplay unit to replace Brendan Shanahan from last year. The Wings need to make a move because Nashville looks pretty strong with Forsberg in there lineup. Boy is Zetterberg, and Datsyuk hot!!!

how about a solid defensemen in pittsburgh, sure they have gonchar, but a tough, decent player would be a great addition and could provide decent leadership. Adam Foote? Rob Blake? Ed Jovanoski?

[...] I did my best to stay out of the way during NHL Trade Rumor talk, while still reporting the trades that actually happened. [...]

I like joe malone’s thinking, the pen’s need a good solid blueliner, we have great trades available, i would consider jordan staal and dany sabourin for jovanoski or blake anyday!

With all the talk about Brian Burke wanting to bolster the offense on the Leafs, I would think that going after Phil Kessel is a great idea. He fits right into the Leafs rebuilding plan since he’s young and a proven goal scorer. Burke has some depth now in the system to package something together to get Kessel.
