Petr Nedved is now an Edmonton OilerBack from a short hiatus in the Dominican Republic, NHL Digest has discovered that Petr Nedved has found a new home in the National Hockey League with the Edmonton Oilers.

Nedved, who sports a dismal -20 rating with the Flyers will get another lesson from the Craig MacTavish school of team defense.  Nedved was effective with the Oilers in 2003-2004 and the 35 year-old hopes that he can return to form and contribute to the Oilers.

An offensively gifted player, Nedved seemed stifled in his limited offensive role with the Flyers.  Let’s hope he can find his stride and give Edmonton that extra boost down the stretch run.
