Jaci Donahe asks an interesting question:
How many ex-Bruins are currently in the Los Angeles Kings organization? (Just at the NHL level, no other levels being counted.)
Alanah has a nice rant about Boulerice and the price of pay per view:
The Canucks got spectacularly whooped on Wednesday night, maintaining their 18 year winless streak against the Flyers on Vancouver ice. (And all for the bargain price of $12.95, since the game could only be watched via PPV. Icing on the cake.)
Dave Stubbs raises a very interesting question on Habs Inside Out:
Leafs Television chose Toronto captain Mats Sundin as all three stars of his club’s 8-1 victory over the New York Islanders. Sundin had become the all-time leading Leafs points-getter with an assist, giving him 917 career points, one more than Darryl Sittler. On March 23, 1944, Canadiens icon Maurice (Rocket) Richard was named all three stars of his team’s 5-1 victory over the Maple Leafs, having scored every one of Montreal’s goals. In several games toward the end of his career, Wayne Gretzky also was named all three stars in a tribute recognizing his record-breaking brilliance. So now it’s Sundin’s turn.
Agree or disagree that this is a good thing?
Bob from Canes Country on the Jesse Boulerice suspension:
I always enjoyed watching “The Bull” here in Raleigh and I never witnessed him do anything the least bit unsportsmanlike while he was with this franchise. Maybe playing for Philadelphia has something to do with the cheap shots? I’m not making excuses for him, he’s a man and needs to make his own choices, but it does make you wonder.
Joe Pelletier takes a look at one of my favorite players from days gone by:
One of my unforgettable memories of the 1980s was the Montreal Forum applause he would get every time announcer Claude Mouton announced a goal by “number 26, numéro vingt six . . . Matsss….Nasluuuund.
SLAM Sports reports on the Nashville Predators sale saga:
“Quite frankly, I’m tired of our community’s resolve to retain the Predators on a permanent basis being questioned by outsiders that neither contribute to our community nor care about our community,” said David Freeman, one of the partners in the local group and chief executive officer of 36 Venture Capital LLC.
Sacred Heart University Coach, Shaun Hannah, sums up the game of hockey nicely:
“We played as hard and as well as we could,” he said. “But you gotta win the games and in the end we didn’t…”
