im a goalie, and im getting a custom pair of these. i jsut want to say that vaughn is the best goalie company ever. itech, simmons, eagle, rbk, sher-wood, vortek, xgs, nikebauer, tps, and ccm = no chance. ive seen these pads, and although they are heavy, they are the greatest butterfly pads ever made….come to think of it, im not much of a butterfly goalie…a strict bfly-goalie goes down every shot….i dont….but i use the bfly to its full extent. i mite even b a hybrid….half bfly, have standup…ive never seen that b4….well anywayz, these pads are amazing for bfly goalies, but if you want pads that standups use yet still allowing you to do a proper bfly without doing a brodeur-fly, get epics….recommended by my bantam AAA goalie friend (im bantam A)

I just bought a pair of these pads and they are by far the best set ive owned and ive been playing goalie for 6 years now, the only down side to these pads is that they are a little on the heavy side but if your a goalie that has a bit of a hard time with the butterfly or your just getting used to it i highly recomend the Vaughn velociity 7500 pads, i play Midget AAA and its near impossoble to beat a goalie five hole when they use vaughn pads because the butterfly closes up that five hole perfectly.

Vaughn pads are hands down the best goalie pads in the world. I personally enjoy the Epic pads but the Velocity’s are still great pads
