I'll respectfully disagree with some of your opinion. While I with you that this incident is drawing more attention than it should do to it being the third Flyer suspension, I don't think you can lay any of this on Bergeron. A play can expect to skate hard into the corner, slap the puck behind the net, and not get his head rammed into the top of the boards. Both of these players were coming into the same area quickly, and there was going to be contact, but Jones could have handled it several way. He chose to deliver a hit high to the back of Bergeron, pretty much ensuring an injury. Jones didn't even start moving for a hit until Bergeron's back was turned.
And while there may be some sensationalism driving the stories around this, you can't ignore that the Flyers have accumulated 47 games of suspensions in 10 games. I wouldn't agree with fines on the coach, but you do have to ask the question, "What is the coach telling these guys to do." Maybe it's three isolated incidents that happened to occur in a short span of games, but it's not an invalid question for people to ask.

Nate,
That is an excellent post which was well planned and supported by excellent references.
To oppose what you have presented would be very difficult. Kudos on a passionate and well thought out article!
Keep 'em coming!
